Carole ECarole Ehrman studied flute at the American Conservatory of Music, and performed folk and gospel music, but she found her muse when she was given two mountain dulcimers 20 years ago. She enjoys singing and playing Celtic, Appalachian, and gospel songs --even jazz. She۪s a Francophile, often singing in French and playing the eppinette des Vosges. She has performed and taught at various folk and dulcimer festivals and clubs including the Dulcimer Chautauqua on the Wabash, Gebhard Woods Dulcimer Festival, Dulcimer Gathering at the Mounds,Fox Valley Folk Festival, Dulcimer Society of Northern Illinois and Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Music Club. Dona Benkert has described Carole as a superb instrumentalist and gifted vocalist who sings with passion, sincerity and crystal clarity. Carole has the rare ability to draw the audience into her emotions. Carole also enjoys teaching groups of school children the joys of folk music and the mountain dulcimer.
