Description: Sponsored by the COLUMBUS FOLK MUSIC SOCIETY, INC., & Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park, this festival is always held on the first full weekend (including Friday) of May and is held at the Battelle-Darby Creek Metro Park. The Festival features 30 or more mini-concerts and teaching workshops, with a main-stage concert Saturday evening. Comments: Primarily a teaching festival which is always on the first full weekend (Friday included) in May. The instruments, music & skills taught are traditional. There will be a Friday evening pot luck supper, with jamming and a “Worst Song” contest. Saturday there will be 30 or so spot light concerts, workshops, and jamming, with an evening concert featuring James Keelaghan, the Yellow Room Gang, & The Smokin’ Fez Monkeys. Sunday there will be more workshops, etc.
