Welcome to our slice of artistic heaven, every 4th Friday in Crown Point, Indiana. Northwest Indiana (Chicago\\\'s South Shore) is alive and active with the arts, especially the historical downtown square of Crown Point. Come stroll through our vibrant square and visit the charming and unique businesses that turn into artistic sanctuaries every 4th Friday of the month from 6 to 9 p.m. View the fascinating and avant-garde art on display and meet the artists in each participating business monthly. This perfect opportunity will let you get a taste of all that Crown Point has to offer. Additional businesses and restaurants will be open and ready to welcome you to our slice of artistic heaven-historical downtown Crown Point, Indiana! Event: 6th Best Ever Pig's Ear Kentish Horse Folk Ale in Cow LaneDate(MM-DD-YYYY): 5/30/2008 This is a small, friendly festival of music, song & dance (mosly from the British Isles) that is run in the tradition of the \\\'Folk Ales\\\' of the county of Kent. It celebrates local beers and local music and features mostly local artists who play in the folk clubs and pubs of South East England. We hope you find much to enjoy in the varied programme of performers (32 different acts in 2007) who come together in this attractive corner of the Garden of England to sing, play, drink and generally enjoy themselves. Our headline artists in 2008 are \\\'The Young Coppers\\\', the latest generation of the famous Copper Family from Rottingdean in Sussex, who can boast an unbroken family tradition of folk song for some 5 generations. The Copper Family contributed the first songs collected by the English Folk Dance & Song Society.
