Hello Dulcimer Playing Friends,

Can you believe that it is already September? Well September is an exciting month for me. I will be leaving for the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS on September 12th. I will be teaching workshops and performing at the evening concert at the Great Plains Dulcimer Alliance’s Warm-Up Picnic on September 13th. For more information about the Warm-Up Picnic end an email to dwight-toh@sbcglobal.net .

The New / Young Dulcimer Players Forum Meet & Greet is scheduled for September 18th at the Walnut Valley Festival at my camp site. The Meet & Greet will start at 7:00pm. We will not have an on line forum for the mountain or hammered dulcimer this month, but I hope you will plan on joining us at the Meet & Greet. We will meet, greet jam and eat our favorite jam snacks. Please remember that this meet and greet is “Bring Your Favorite Jam Snack”. So what’s your favorite jam snack?

If you have any questions about the Meet & Greet please feel free to email me or you can check out the New / Young Dulcimer Players Forum on my web site at www.jeffhames.com for more information. I would like to get an estimate on the number of people that are planning on attending the Meet & Greet. There is a poll in the forum topic that you can take or just post a reply on the forum itself.

On September 25th I will leave for Dana Point, CA to teach at Morrison Elementary School on Friday the 26th and then I will be teaching workshops and performing at the evening concert at the Harvest Festival of Dulcimers on Saturday the 27th. I will also be teaching a Masters Class on Sunday the 28th. For more information about the Harvest Festival of Dulcimer check out their web site at http://www.scdh.org . Since I’ve never been to California, I’m looking forward to meeting dulcimer players and groups from the west coast.

Hope to see you at Winfield, KS or at Dana Point, CA.

Keep Playing The Music!
