Mark Gilston classes at Kentucky Music Week

Postby Tradman » Sat Apr 28, 2012 4:24 pm

I'll be teaching three dulcimer courses at Kentucky Music Weekin June http://www.kentuckymusicweek.com/

Playing in DAA where we'll start with noter/ drone style and then move on to playing simple harmonies and chords.

An intermediate to advanced course in Old Time tunes with emphasis on different techniques for both hands.

An advanced course on dance tunes from England, Ireland, America and Sweden.

I'll also be doing a course on Pennywhistle ornaments and styling.

Hope to see some of you there!

Dang Mark, first time I'll miss KMW in 8 years :( and finally there's a DAA/Noter class.

Convert enough folks so Nancy will bring you back next year!

There's still room in my classes at Kentucky Music Week: Old Time Southern Appalachian tunes in depth. Dance Rhythms - Jigs, Schottishes, Hornpipes and Breakdowns. Playing in DAA - noters, accompaniment, harmony. And Irish Styling on Pennywhistle. Looking forward to meeting some more folks!
