I’m just returning from the Dulcimer Jamboree that is held in Mountain View, AR every year, like always it was a wonderful festival. While I was there I had a chance to talk to several of you that were taking my workshops about topics for the New / Young Dulcimer Players Forum. Some of you put a lot of thought into the topics that you would like to learn more about and gave me long lists
of topic suggestions. I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to give me your thoughts.
This New / Young Dulcimer Players forum will be held on May 12, 2009 at 8:00pm central .
Originally I was going to have a Part 2 to our Genres Topics but as I was reading over my notes and your notes something really stood out to me and was repeated by several of you………….Copyright and Publishing questions. I can honestly say that I get asked a lot about copyrights but by no means do I have all of the answers and most of the time when I read the copyright laws I end up having more questions then answers. So this month’s forum topic will be Copyrights and Publishing Rights to help us understand some of the basic questions about Copyrights and Publishing Rights.
Please keep in mind that the Copyright and Publishing Laws are constantly changing and you should do your own research before you produce your products.
