Looking good Clare. But aren't there 2 too many frets on that #9 fretboard?

Nahhh, there are exactly the right number of frets...otherwise she'd have a couple of empty slots

Well, yeah, you got a point there, Dave. So is that how chromatic fretboards come about? Hey, there are empty slots in my fretboard, I may as well put frets in them.

Hi Karl, I had to choose between diatonic and the wild looking wood. I had precut this one already during my fretboard making spree. I went back to Southern Lumber twice and could not find a piece of wood with those markings, so I decided to glue it on. And Dave, Wfret prints out the extra slots, so if I mess up and start cutting an extra fret, I might as well finish it chromatic.

I put one coat of waterlox/asphaltum on today, wiped on just as a stain and it looks awesome.
