Uploading a .wav file?

Can I upload a .wav file directly to somewhere appropriate on the site? I made a short recording of what my hammer dulcimer sounds like, and it a .wav file, about 4 megs in size. Is it too large, or di I have to put it in, say, Youtube, and then just link to it here?
