James Jones 4-19-21-9 hammer dulcimer. This one has dampers, Dusty Strings Tri Stander, abalone inset in top and the usual case, hammers, tuning key and chart.Price is $1850.00 and shipping is usualy around $90.00. New would be $2900 set up like this. One pic shows size against a 16-15. Locared in Troy MO. Come on down and take a look.More pics available..

Have no way to weigh. Too light for bath and too heavy for kitchen scale. Everything in a box I would guess 35 lbs.

James Jones lists this model at 21 lb. plus 3 lb. for the dampers. Don't know what the tristander and case would weigh but Bob's probably pretty much spot on on shipping weight. I'd suspect carrying weight for jams and festivals would be 30-31 lb. for the first hundred yards and increase logarithmically after that. :)

That said, this is a beautiful dulcimer and I'd think it's worth every penny of the asking price. Just wish I could justify the purchase but I doubt my marriage would stand it.

The official U P S weight of Dulcimer, it parts, packing material and carton is TA DAAAAAAAAAAAAAA 41 lb.
