Artist Suggestions

Alright I recently came across Dizzi Dulcimer on youtube (Dizzi.co.uk ) and she is and absolutly incredible artist but Ive pretty much run through all the music from her one CD MULTIPLE times.. Can anyone out there suggest other good HD artists out there ?

There are so many hammered dulcimer players with excellent recordings. What type of music are you interested in? Do you like solo HD or ensembles with other instruments? There are many people here who play HD and have recordings. You might ask this question in the Hammered Dulcimer thread.

Solo HD's ..... Mainly im out looking for the "jimmy Hendrix" of the HD ... TY for the suggestion .. ill go and post in that forum as well

I like Maddy MacNeil on both the HD and MD and she also sings beautifully. Jeomy Wilson does a lot of Celtic work on the HD. As well as Maggy Sansone on the HD She has several books and CD combinations out now I think.

Heheh - Dan - don't think that I'm brown-nosing here but....

Dan Landrum is a great artist to listen to. Dan was a drummer before he became a HD player, and I absolutely love his style. His CDs are great; catch him live and watch him play, too! He has several YouTube vids posted you need to catch as well.

There are a ton of other fantastic HD players that are members here at ED - every style and ability you could ever imagine.
