The participants were Gail Knapp - The Dulcimer Lady from Vinita, OK and Kerry Anderson - The Dulcimer Lady from Capitan, NM (http://www.gilamountaindulcimers.com).

It was a much-anticipated meeting. The meeting had been planned for weeks to stopping by and meet Kerry. We had a great time getting acquainted with each other. We discussed dulcimers and building them too. Kerry has a wonderful workshop!

Even though we play different types of music, the most wonderful thing happened again, like it always does when dulcimer players get together, we we able to easily accompany one another.

Kerry taught me a couple of songs and wrote off the tab for them. I taught Kerry a couple of tunes in turn. We had a lot of fun with those tunes.

Kerry's dulcimers are beautiful! She takes a lot of care in the craftsmanship of them. The sound is just wonderful too. Those of you that own a dulcimer built by Kerry Anderson...I envy you, for sure.

We spent just two hours together, as we had to get on down the road to get to our relatives house. The time just flew by, as usual when musicians get together.

So, if you are ever out in the mountains of New Mexico, look up Kerry Anderson in Capitan and you will have that magical dulcimer feeling too!
